How many books are in the NecroSeam Chronicles?

The main series, the NecroSeam Chronicles, will be a pentalogy (5 book series), one for each of the Lost Relics, not including the novella prequel Princess of Shadow and Dream.

I have other books planned (and some in the works) that focus on different characters set in the same
world, or some that show the backstories of the NecroSeam characters also, but I'll get around to those after the main 5 have been released (I'm so close!)

When is book 5 coming out?

We're aiming for a November 2020 release date, so keep your fingers crossed!

What were some influences and inspirations for the story?

Definitely, some big inspirations were "Final Fantasy (Tactics, VII, IX, X, and Crystal Chronicles (NO JUDGING, I LOVED FFCC!) )", "The Legend of Zelda", "Avatar" (the REAL one, not the blue aliens) "Princess Mononoke", "Castle in the Sky", and "Disgaea: Hour of Darkness".

So... mostly video games and anime.

How long have you been developing this story?

I first drew a character named Xavier in 2006, and then Willow in 2007. So, I've worked on the story around those characters for over 10 years. It was first going to be a comic, then a video game, then I finally landed (and stayed) on a book series.

How do I submit fan art?

Simple! We love getting new art from fans.  All you have to do is email your art, your name, and any notes you want to add about the piece directly to AizelleRaine@gmail.com with the subject "NecroSeam Fan Art".

You could use the email form on this page to let us know you want to submit something, but the art itself can't be attached or pasted, so contacting Ellie directly is the most efficient way to get your art on the site.

What are the Necrofera classes?

Class 3:

The typical, feral demon whose rotten soul is exposed and slithering around its body. This class has no control over their hunter's instinct and often die rather quickly by the scythes of the Reapers.

Class 2:

A demon who has gained its sentience (and humanoid form) by  eating 10,000 souls over the course of its suspended undead life. This class is the most rare, since most Class 3 Necrofera are killed long before they reach this level.

Class 1:

A demon who possesses Hallows of any type (even before they died and Changed into a fera). They Awaken as their original, humanoid forms, but still lose their memories of being alive.

*Note* These Necrofera are among the elite. A demon is either born as a Class 1, or they aren't.

You know pearls aren't made of emeralds, right? they are two separate gems, so obviously there's no such thing as a 'pearl of emerald'.

I always crack up at this question! When I titled the Ocean realm's lost Relic (and book 3) Pearl of Emerald, I meant for emerald to be a color descriptor. Not what the pearl is ACTUALLY made of.

I get the confusion behind it, but the magic associated with the Ocean realm (i.e. the color of the magic streams that shine when an Evocator with those elements casts them) is green, so--like the other relics in the other realms--the color of the magic needed to match that country's relic (because I like symmetry). I went through a list of possible other ways of saying 'green pearl' and narrowed it down to three. My reason for choosing 'emerald' as the descriptor was because:

a) "Pearl of Jade" would have the same issue

b) "Pearl of Teal" didn't have a good ring to it

and c) "Pearl of Sea-Green" just sounded silly

But why a pearl at all? Why not just an emerald?

Sorry, but how many emeralds do you find lying around in the ocean as opposed to pearls?
