Sooooo... Given the absolute army of characters in the series, who out there has latched onto an otherwise minor character and imagined a whole history and series of adventures for them? Friendly doctor on the train who treats our heroin's leg injuries probably keeps birds and has a side business playing the accordion, right? That's probably true.

Maybe I should throw in owls. My mom and her sisters used to keep those. I remember Hooly, Laurel, Hardy, and there was a 4th one I can never remember.
